At Purr-Central, we know that cats aren't "just pets" - they're family.
They greet us at the door after a long day, curl up beside us when we need comfort, and somehow leave paw prints on our hearts that last a lifetime. While we wish they could stay with us forever, one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is a way to preserve those precious memories.
For our family, that gift came in the form of a hand-painted oil portrait.
After our beloved cat passed away at the age of 15, we wanted something that truly captured who she was. Rather than choosing a printed photograph, we commissioned a local artist and pet lover to create an original oil painting from some of our favourite photos. The finished portrait was more than we could have imagined.
Every detail - from the softness of her fur to the expression in her eyes - was captured beautifully. It doesn't simply remind us what she looked like; it reminds us of her personality, her presence, and the years of love we shared.
Today, her portrait has pride of place at Purr-Central, where it reminds us every day why we do what we do. Thank you, Lara, for your beautiful talent that captured Evie so purrfectly ❤️
